Leave
what holds you.

Step into freedom.

Every man has a wilderness to cross — a place where comfort ends and calling begins.

This is your invitation to walk out of Egypt and into the presence of God.

A Weekend in the Wilderness

Worship. Brotherhood. Rest. Revelation.

January 9-11, 2026

at Franklin Family Ranch

Step away from distraction and rediscover the strength of your faith.

Through worship, teaching, and open-fire community, we’ll walk together in the footsteps of Moses — learning what it means to be called out, set apart, and sent back changed.

TEACHING

01

Christ is Not
His Last Name

Friday Night

Theme:
The Call — See the Whole Story.

Verse:
Acts 7

Summary:
Stephen’s final sermon connects the entire Hebrew story — from the Exodus to the Resurrection — and calls men to become witnesses who know the Word deeply and proclaim truth boldly.

Layers:

  • The Text: Acts 7 and the cost of knowing Scripture.

  • The History: The Exodus in archaeology — when and where it happened.

  • The Map: Mt. Sinai, the route, the crossing site.

Takeaway:
You can’t stand for truth unless you know the story you’re standing in.

02

Living Water

Saturday Morning

Theme:
The Provision — Drink Deeply.

Verse:
Exodus 17

Summary:
From the Split Rock flows not just water, but a picture of the Holy Spirit poured out on dry hearts.

Layers:

  • The Text: Exodus 17, John 7, and the Feasts of the Lord.

  • The History: Prophetic fulfillment in Christ — the true source of living water.

  • The Map: Route to the Split Rock and the Galatians 4 connection.

Takeaway:
The same Spirit that split the rock still breaks open hearts today.

03

Adultery at the Wedding

Saturday Night

Theme:
The Confrontation — Face Your Idols.

Verse:
Exodus 6, 19–20

Summary:
At Sinai, God invited His people into covenant — but fear led to rebellion.

We still build golden calves when we trade intimacy for comfort.

Layers:

  • The Text: YHWH’s revelation, the Ten Commandments, and fear of holiness.

  • The History: Hathor worship, ancient carvings of praise — sacred versus profane.

  • The Map: From the Split Rock to the Golden Calf Altar and Sinai Summit.

Takeaway:
The same God who called Israel calls you to tear down your altar of compromise.

04

Look to the Rock

Sunday Morning

Theme:
The Restoration — Remember and Return.

Verse:
Exodus 24:4, Isaiah 51:1

Summary:
Even in rebellion, God calls His sons back to remember who they are — built on the Rock, carved from His heart.

Layers:

  • The Text: Returning to the covenant and the face of God.

  • The History: The stone pillars at Moses’ Altar and the Rock Quarry.

  • The Map: Walk through the quarry — remember what you’re made of.

The journey out ends where it began — in the Father’s presence.
